In 2023, I made my first remote hire: a WordPress developer. We went on to work together across many projects, and that relationship helped me grow my design agency.
What made the difference was being able to shape our working relationship on our own terms. There was no agency or freelance platform taking a cut or slowing down communication.
I went on to hire writers, developers, and designers using the same model.
When I moved to Indonesia in 2026, I met many Indonesians who wanted to build careers working online with overseas employers, but lacked a good way to reach them.
That is why I created OnlineJobs Indonesia: to connect employers directly with Indonesian workers. My hope is that one good introduction can spark a lasting working relationship and create better opportunities for both sides, on terms they set together.
